The Results of Translation Forum Russia 2018

Business-Bureau of the Association of Interpreters, a company from Ekaterinburg, organized Translation Forum Russia for the third time in the hometown. Ramada Hotel & Spa hosted the IX forum for translators and interpreters on the 24-26 of August 2018. General partner of the forum was Smartcat, the gold sponsor was Matecat,  Memsource and STAR AG were silver sponsors, T-Service was session sponsor, NTIF was the sponsor of the Gala Evening, our bank was Tochka Bank, the Siberian Center of Translators and Alisa TM were exponents. Partners of the Forum were the Institute of International Relations (the organizer of the Students Forum) and the Ural State Law University, which organized the legal translation section in the Museum n.a. S. S. Alekseev.

This year the work was in tracks: translation and interpreting track, business track, technology track, language sections and translation and interpretation in highly specialized areas. In 2018, the Forum was attended by 435 participants from 47 Russian cities, the easternmost of which was Vladivostok, the westernmost – St. Petersburg. From the North the most extreme point was represented by participants from Arkhangelsk, and from the South – from Stavropol. Participants and speakers from such countries as Ukraine, Estonia, Australia, Kazakhstan, Japan, Bulgaria, Turkmenistan, Turkey, USA, Peru, Canada, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Belarus, Italy, Czech Republic, Brazil, Sweden, Spain, Hungary, Israel, the Netherlands gathered in Ekaterinburg.
